Qatar is not part of the Hague Convention and will require the Authentication of the State, US State Department and Qatar Embassy Legalization. Documents issued by the State, County or Court in California must be Certified copies in order for us to be able to process the documents with the State, US State Department and Qatar Consulate. 

In order to process personal and commercial document with the Qatar Consulate we will need the following:

Personal documents will require the following steps:

- Documents must be Notarized by a Local Notary Public
- Documents must be Authenticated by Local Secretary of State
- Documents must be Authenticated by US State Department
- Documents will be submitted to the Qatar Consulate for Authentication before it can be send to Qatar.

Please note that Vital Records and court documents will not require Notarization.

Documents required for processing Personal Documents:
1- Original documents
2- Copy of the Passport of the Applicant.

Commercial documents will require the following steps:

- Documents must be Notarized by a Local Notary Public

- Documents must be Authenticated by State.

- Documents must be Authenticated by US State Department in DC.

- Documents will be submitted to the Qatar Consulate for Authentication before it can be send to Qatar.

1- Original documents
2- Copy of the Passport of the Applicant.

Commercial Shipping documents will require the following steps:
- Documents must be Notarized by a Local Notary Public
- Documents me be Authenticated by the Local US Arab chamber of Commerce
- Documents will be submitted to the Qatar Consulate for Authentication before it can be send to Qatar.

Documents required for processing Commercial Shipping Documents:
1- Certificate of Origin, Bill of lading  and Commercial Invoice
2- Copy of the Passport of the Applicant.
